
Colorado Ice Avenge Only Loss of Season, Ice 58 - Fever 54

(Loveland, CO) - The Colorado Ice get their 10th win and move towards their first playoff game in the Budweiser Events Center. With this win the Ice will host a home playoff game in June.
The Ice defense was once again in the right spot at the right time to keep the Fever from scoring a winning touchdown, with seconds left on the clock Prince Hall (40) pulled down an interception in the endzone and ran it out to the 6 yard line securing a win for the Ice.
The Ice and Fever went touchdown for touchdown and kick for kick throughout an exciting game that has the Ice winning. The Ice started fast getting a rushing touchdown by David Knighton (5) for 17 yards in the first 2 minutes of play.
Knighton (5) passed for 81 yards and rushed for 26, but it was running back Maurice Greer (34) that had another 3 rushing touchdowns this game. The Ice offensive touchdowns also saw running back Terry Washington put a rushing touchdown in from 6 yards out.
Defensive end Eryk Anders (32) joined with Hall (40) each had sacks against the Fever. Anders (32) also led the defense with 5 tackles and 5 assists, while Hall had 3 tackles and 8 assists. Defensive back Corey Sample (9) had an exceptional night getting 2 interceptions for a total of 65 yards.
The Colorado Ice are on the road next weekend, Friday, May 27th at 7:05pm in Casper, Wyoming to face the Wyoming Cavalry.
