Wild Look for Redemption on Saturday

On Saturday night the Wichita Wild will take on Lonestar Division rival the West Texas Roughnecks in an away game that is sure to be a thriller. After narrowly losing to the Roughnecks by a score of 54-47 at Hartman Arena on April 1st, the Wild will look to even the score.

The Roughnecks enter the game with a record of 7-3, having lost last week's game against the Allen Wranglers by a score of 54-26. The Roughnecks are currently averaging 40.7 points per game, being led by standout wide receiver Josh Floyd who is leading the IFL in all-purpose yards with 1,341. Roughnecks quarterback Arkelon Hall has thrown for 1,296 yards and 26 touchdowns this season.

Wichita enters the game with a record of 3-7 having gone 3-2 since the head coaching change made in Week 6 of the regular season. The Wild are averaging 40.2 points per game, currently being led by new quarterback Phil Staback. Staback has thrown for 596 yards and 8 touchdowns in his three games with the Wild. Wide receiver Clinton Soloman leads the team with 707 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. Defensive back Rashad Washington has helped revitalize Wichita's defense. The Wild defense is only allowing an average of 22.6 points per game over the past three contests.

The game can be heard on 1330-AM KNSS with pregame coverage starting at 6:50 pm. Fans can also gather at Emerson Biggins West where the game will be broadcast on their big screen TV's. Emerson Biggins West is located at 2330 N Maize Rd. (21st and Maize) in Wichita.

The Wild will return home to Hartman Arena on June 4th for a game against the Nebraska Danger.
