
Colorado Defeats Anaheim in Showcase Matchup

OREM, UT Jan. 8, 2009 - Josh Davis' 23 points led the Colorado 14ers to a 118-112 win against the Anaheim Arsenal in NBA D-League Showcase day four action at the McKay Events Center.
Seven players scored in double-figures for Colorado, including four off the bench. Davis was complemented by Joe Dabbert who had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Dominique Coleman added 17 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Trey Gilder (16 points), Marlon Parmer (12 points), Jamar Brown (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Lamar Butler (11, 3-3 3FG) provided all the bench points the 14ers would need.
Ex-Cincinnati star James White scored a game-high 33 points for the Arsenal, making four of five three-pointers in 44 minutes, but the Arsenal were out-rebounded 55-39 to fall to 5-11 on the season.
"We played a tough team today and its always a good atmosphere when you get to play against talented individuals in front of NBA scouts and general managers - everybody is trying their hardest and that's when basketball is played at a top level," said Josh Davis. "It was a lot of fun out there this afternoon."
Eddie Gill added seven points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the 14ers who next play the Austin Toros on Jan. 10 at the Austin Convention Center. Anaheim returns to action on tomorrow when they host the Idaho Stampede.
