
Colorado Crush's Angel Named Defensive Player Of The Week

DENVER - The Arena Football League announced today that Colorado Crush defensive back Chris Angel was named the league's ADT Defensive Player of the Week for Week 7 of the 2007 season.
ANGEL (6-0, 205, Western Oregon) recorded his third interception of the game with 27 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the Crush's 49-48 victory over the New York Dragons on Sunday. Angel, in his fourth AFL season, registered 6.0 tackles and a career-high three interceptions against the team who released him prior to the start of the season. Both of Angel's first two interceptions came on the first play of a Dragons' drive and each resulted in a Crush touchdown. The third interception ended New York's final drive clinching the win. He currently stands second in the AFL in interceptions with five on the season.
