Big Promotions, Guests Slated for Final Five Home Games

West Michigan's very own Arena Football League team is pulling out all the stops this spring to bring big games and big events to Van Andel Arena and downtown Grand Rapids.

Saturday, April 21 - Chicago Rush vs. Grand Rapids Rampage (Sold Out)

- Pregame - Downtown Grand Rapids is the place to be on game night with "Game Time Grand Rapids!" Several local bars and restaurants - including the Black Rose Irish Pub, The B.O.B., Flanagan's Irish Pub, Grand Woods Lounge, Tap's Sports Bar, and Z's Bar and Restaurant - all offer food and drink specials on Rampage game nights. In addition, members of the Rage Dance Team visit each location, handing out souvenir items and signing autographs. Even if you can't get a ticket to the game, you can be a part of "Game Time Grand Rapids!"

- Game Summary - The defending ArenaBowl champion Chicago Rush will play in front of a packed Van Andel Arena, marking the Rampage's first sellout since 2003.

- Special Guest - Newly acquired Detroit Lions running back Tatum Bell will sign autographs at the game from 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

- Giveaway - The first 5,000 fans will receive a Rampage poster.

- Halftime - Local high school football teams will face off in a tug-of-war competition during the Rampage's Tug-of-Pride contest.

- Postgame - After every game, Rampage players and coaches will sign autographs for all fans on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena.

- Other -The Rampage's April 21 game will feature the public unveiling of Van Andel Arena's new high-end sports bar: The Huntington Club (Club Seat Holders only).

Saturday, May 5 - Nashville Kats vs. Grand Rapids Rampage

- Pregame - "Game Time Grand Rapids!"

- Game Summary - Former Michigan State quarterback Jeff Smoker and the Nashville Kats return to Michigan for a Central Division showdown.

- Special Guests - Rampage radio color commentator and former Detroit Lions four-time Pro Bowl selection Herman Moore will meet with Season Ticket Holders prior to the game. Detroit Lions running back T.J. Duckett will sign autographs for all fans from 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

- Giveaway - The first 5,000 fans will receive rally towels courtesy of ADT.

- Theme Night - During the Rampage's fifth annual Play for the Cure presented by Art Van, cancer survivors and the organizations who support them will be honored throughout the night. As part of Muskegon Community Night, the Rampage will pay tribute to our friends on the Lakeshore.

- Halftime - The Junior Rage Dance Team will perform followed by Mascot Football.

- Postgame - After every game, Rampage players and coaches will sign autographs for all fans on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena.

Saturday, May 26 - Colorado Crush vs. Grand Rapids Rampage

- Pregame - "Game Time Grand Rapids!"

- Game Summary - The Rampage welcome their Central Divison foes, the Colorado Crush, who are co-owned by Denver Broncos great John Elway.

- Theme Night - The Rampage will pay tribute to the people, businesses and unique culture of Holland during Holland Community Night.

- Halftime - Local band Pop Evil, which has been featured nationally on MTV's hit television show Made, will play a special two-song set during halftime. Select fans will also meet the members of the band.

- Giveaway - 1,000 fans will receive Pop Evil CDs.

- Postgame - After every game, Rampage players and coaches will sign autographs for all fans on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena.

Saturday, June 2 - Kansas City Brigade vs. Grand Rapids Rampage

- Pregame - "Game Time Grand Rapids!"

- Game Summary - The final home divisional matchup features the Kansas City Brigade, who will make their first-ever appearance in Grand Rapids.

- Theme Night - The Rampage, led by Chris Ryan, will pay tribute to the community of Ionia during Ionia Community Night.

- Halftime - WGRD's Free Beer and Hot Wings show will present "Grand Rapids Awful Idol." Fans will vote for the worst of the worst when three untalented singers step up to the mic.

- Car Giveaway - The Rampage, in conjunction with Fox Ford and Bud Light, will give away a new 2007 Ford Fusion to one lucky fan. Fans 21-years and older can drive home with the vehicle by landing a paper airplane in the sunroof of the car as it drives along the outer edge of Centennial Wireless Field.

- Postgame - After every game, Rampage players and coaches will sign autographs for all fans on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena.

Saturday, June 16 - Tampa Bay Storm vs. Grand Rapids Rampage

- Pregame - "Game Time Grand Rapids!"

- Game Summary - Grand Rapids welcomes the five-time ArenaBowl champion Tampa Bay Storm for the Rampage's regular-season home finale.

- Theme Night - Huntington will sponsor its annual Huntington Fan Appreciation Night, and prizes will be given away to lucky fans throughout the game.

- Halftime - WGRD's Free Beer and Hot Wings show will feature its "Grand-in-a-Can" competition, where one fan will win $1,000.

- Postgame - After every game, Rampage players and coaches will sign autographs for all fans on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena. This night's autograph session will be extended to 30 minutes.

Following each game, fans can join Rampage players, coaches, Rage Dance Team members and staff for the Rampage Postgame Party at Grand Woods Lounge. A ticket stub from that night's game will get its holder 15% off of all sandwiches and entrees.
