Colonials Walk-Off with Series Sweep Over Quebec

Ottawa, ON - The Pittsfield Colonials walked-off with a 5-4 win over the Quebec Capitales on a Quentin Davis two RBI double in the home-half of the ninth inning in Ottawa, Ontario on Sunday afternoon.

Davis' (1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) winner was his only hit of the game and came after the center fielder fanned three times in the game. Pittsfield outfielder Dan Carte (2-for-3, HR) belted his ninth home run of the season to tie for the league lead with nine. Third baseman Jason Taylor (2-for-3, HR) also hit a long ball while teammate Matt Nandin (1-for-4, RBI) provided an RBI single.

Colonials' starter Trevor Marcotte (2-3) finished with a no-decision over six shut-out innings giving-up five hits and one walk with one strike-out. Reliever Juan Padilla (1-0) earned the win allowing one run on one hit over an inning and one-third. Lefty Rafael Lluberes was tagged for two runs while right-hander Reymond Cruz conceded one run.

Capitales' starting pitcher Andy Schon also factored in a no-decision going five innings allowing three runs on five hits with eight strike-outs. Bullpen arm Andrew Albers pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Quebec; Jeremy Hunt (1-1) suffered a blown-save and took the loss.

Quebec catcher Patrick D'Aoust (1-for-3, 2B, 3 RBI) provided a three-run double in the eighth inning while designated hitter Jeremy Hunt (1-for-4, RBI) knocked in a run as well. Right fielder Sebastien Boucher (3-for-5, 2B) enjoyed a three hit game for the winners.

The Colonials pack-up and travel South to Brockton's Campanelli Stadium for a three game set with the Rox beginning on Monday at 6:05pm. Right-hander Miguel Flores (2-3) is schedule to start for Pittsfield against Brockton' Wayne Lundgren (6-2).
