Pittsfield 5, Quebec 4
The Colonials scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat Quebec 5-4 in walk-off fashion and sweep the Capitales to finish the first half of the Can-Am season. Down one run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Pittsfield 3B Jason Taylor and C Scott Knazek got on board, and CF Quentin Davis knocked them both in with a walk-off triple. The Colonials led most of the game, thanks to solo home runs by Taylor and DH Daniel Carte and an RBI single by SS Matt Nandin. And starter Trevor Marcotte didn't allow a Quebec run in six innings, but the Capitales took the lead in the eighth by plating four runs against the Pittsfield bullpen. In the end, though, Quebec reliever Jeremy Hunt couldn't finish the job after retiring the first two hitters in the ninth.
