Colonials Walk-Off in Ninth, Qualben Deals Complete Game

Pittsfield, MA - The Pittsfield Colonials rallied from down 3-0 in the sixth inning to walk-off with a 4-3 win over the Sussex Skyhawks at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield on Saturday night.

Designated hitter Rafael Cabreja (2-for-4, RBI) delivered the game winning single to score Angel Molina (2-for-4, SB, R) and snap a four-game losing streak for the Colonials. Centerfielder Quentin Davis (1-for-4, HR) tied the game at 3-3 in the eighth inning when he led off with a line-drive home run to right field. Right fielder Dan Carte (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) belted his team leading fourth home run of the season in the game, a two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth inning to start the Colonials' rally.

Pittsfield starting pitcher David Quelben (1-3) tossed his second complete game of the season for the win, going nine innings, allowing eight hits while striking-out eight and walking one.

Skyhawks reliever Justin Dignelli (0-1) suffered the loss out of the bullpen facing two batters in the ninth. Starter Tim Stringer took the no-decision pitching six inning allowing two runs on six hits, one walks, and two strike-outs.

Sussex DH Caleb Stewart (2-for-4, 2B, RBI), Shortstop Chase Fontaine (1-for-3, SB, RBI), and right fielder Kade Koewen (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) drove in the runs for the visitors.

The Colonials will conclude the three game series with Sussex on Sunday afternoon when righty Kyle Zaleski (1-1) takes the hill for Pittsfield against the Skyhawks' Jusef Frias at 2:05pm at Wahconah Park.
