
Colonials Shut-Out Quebec 2-0

Quebec City, QC - The Pittsfield Colonials defeated the Quebec Capitales 2-0 behind seven shut-out innings from starting pitcher Miguel Flores at Stade Municipal in Quebec City on Saturday night.
Flores (2-3) earned his second win of the season over seven scoreless innings on six hits, four walks, and three strike-outs. Reliever Giuseppe Granitto (1) picked-up the save and completed the clean sheet with two scoreless out of the Pittsfield bullpen.
Colonials' left fielder Angel Molina (3-for-3, 2B, BB, 2 RBI) provided all the offense, going a perfect 3-for-3 and driving in both runs with a two-RBI single in the top of the first inning.
Capitales' starting pitcher Karl Gelinas (1-1) took the loss in six-plus innings, allowing two runs on five hits, no walks, and sour strike-outs.
The Colonials will complete the four game series with Quebec on Sunday afternoon, at 1:05pm, from Stade Municipal in Quebec City when right-handed starter Trevor Marcotte (0-1) takes the mound against the Capitales.
