Hartford Colonials News Release

HARTFORD, CT - Hartford Colonials Head Coach Chris Palmer and eight businesses are teaming up to kick off the Colonials Kids, a charitable ticket program designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to attend a live professional football game.

Companies or individuals that sponsor a Colonials Kids package are responsible for purchasing a minimum 100 tickets to a Hartford Colonials home game at Rentschler Field for the 2010 season. The tickets will be distributed to youth and non-profit organizations.

The charter members of the Colonials Kids program are Aetna; Aerodyne Alloys, Inc.; Burns & Levinson LLP; Laz Parking; Lincoln Financial Group; Dallas-based Playbook Management International; Northeast Utilities; and XL Insurance.

"I think it's great that businesses are providing kids with an opportunity to see a professional football game at Rentschler Field," Coach Palmer said. "When I accepted the job as Colonials Head Coach and General Manager, one of my objections was to promote the game of football to youngsters. The Colonials Kids program allows others and myself to do that."

Sponsorships to a Colonials Kids package start at $1,600 and include the following:

* Enables 100 deserving children to attend a Colonials game * Signage at Rentschler Field and in-game recognition on the video board * Recognition of contribution in press release and on team website * Mention of contribution on Colonials Facebook page and Twitter Companies interested in becoming a Colonials Kids sponsor can call 860-913-2300. Non-profit organizations can contact the Colonials to sign up as beneficiaries.
