
Colonials Cut Down 6-2 by Quebec

Quebec, QC - The Pittsfield Colonials fell 6-2 to the Quebec Capitales at Stade Municipal in Quebec City on Thursday night.
Colonials' starter Jonny Venters (1-4) suffered the loss going six innings and allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits to Quebec while fanning a career high eight batters. Relievers Juan Padilla and Matt Lyons dealt two scoreless innings out of the bullpen, combining to strike-out five more Quebec hitters.
Quebec starting pitcher Michel Simard (7-5) went seven innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking-out six, en route to the victory.
Capitales' second baseman josh Colafemina (4-for-5, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI) finished the game a homer shy of the cycle and knocked in a pair of runs while fellow middle infielder Ivan Naccarata (2-for-5, 2 RBI) also drove in a pair.
The Colonials will travel to Worcester and take on the Tornadoes on Friday night at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field when Patrick Moran (4-1) takes the hill at 7:05pm.
