Collin Adams Nets Hat Trick in Season Finale

DES MOINES, IA - Collin Adams registered his first career USHL hat trick and Bobby Kaiser scored his first career USHL goal, but the Muskegon Lumberjacks fell to the Des Moines Buccaneers 5-4 in the regular season finale. The Lumberjacks finish the season with a record of (27-26-7), and currently sit at sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Muskegon and Des Moines traded five goals in the first twenty minutes of hockey. After trailing 1-0, Adams backhanded his first goal to tie the game at one. The Lumberjacks were trailing the Buccaneers 2-1 sixteen minutes into the first period, when Daniel DiGrande found Kaiser in the slot, who wristed home his first career USHL goal.

Des Moines would score three unanswered goals, and take a 5-2 lead into the second intermission. Adams added two goals to complete his first career hat trick early in the third period to cut the deficit to one, but Muskegon would fall to Des Moines 5-4.

Matej Paulovic completed his final game in the USHL with three assists on the evening, while Rem Pitlick finished his year with one assist in the game, a total of 89 points in 56 games, and the USHL scoring title.
