Gamblers Beat Stars, 3-1

Lincoln, Neb. - Green Bay used two third-period goals to top the Stars, 3-1, on Saturday in the Ice Box.

Lincoln opened the scoring at 8:16 of the first period when Biagio Lerario slid a rebound past Gamblers goalie Adam Huska. Collin Peters and Will D'Orsi had the assists.

Sam Saliba made it 1-1 with a power play goal later in the period to even the score before the intermission.

Green Bay finished 2/9 on the power play. Lincoln went 0/3 on the man advantage.

Neither team tallied in the second, but the Gamblers held a 27-15 shot lead after 40 minutes.

Green Bay began capitalizing on their chances with two quick goals to start the third period. Marc Michaelis and Ryan Blankemeier each scored for the Gamblers.

The two-goal separation was enough for the victory.

Patrik Virtanen finished with 33 saves for the Stars.
