Daytona Tortugas News Release
The Daytona Cubs Professional Baseball Team is gaining national attention with the recent unveiling of the Pinello Funeral Home Funeral Give-Away for the current 2004 season.
The give-away has received national publicity from USA Today, CBS Sportsline, ESPN Radio Baseball Show with Karl Ravech and Rob Dibble and various regional publications and television programs.
On Tuesday morning around 7:00 AM, the give-away will be featured on Cold Pizza, the ESPN 2 morning show that covers various sports topics. The first segment will feature a live-interview with Daytona Cubs representatives on the Pinello FuneralGive-Away. Assistant general manager Bill Papierniak was successful with the promotion in Hagerstown, Maryland with the Hagerstown Suns in 2003. Papierniak said this year¹s response is surpassing the media coverage in 2003 with the Suns.
³I think it¹s a great, worthwhile promotion that brings not only curiosity, but serves an important purpose of preparing for a costly and sometimes emotional event,² Papierniak said. ³I think the general public will definitely benefit from this promotion.²
The promotion is a guaranteed funeral service given by Pinello Funeral Home with an estimated value at $5,000 - $7,000. The give-away is redeemable only at Pinello Funeral Home and is good for life.
The promotion requires all interested contestants to submit a two-page letter describing their ideal funeral. The entries can be mailed to the Daytona Cubs at 105 East Orange Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114, Attn: Pinello Funeral Give-away. Entries can also be mailed to Pinello Funeral Home at 1036 Derbyshire Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
