Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is defenceman Braydon Coburn of the Portland Winter Hawks. Coburn earned player of the week honours by scoring four goals in one game during the week of January 31st to February 6th.

Coburn tied a WHL regular season single game record by recording four goals in a single game and becomes only the seventh defenceman in WHL history to record this accomplishment. On Friday, February 4th, Coburn scored four goals including three power-play goals in a 7-4 win against the Thunderbirds in Seattle.

Coburn, a 19-year-old from Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, was drafted 8th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Honourable mention goes to Brett Palin of the Kelowna Rockets.
