Carolina Cobras News Release

CHARLOTTE To show their support for the men and women serving in our armed forces at home and overseas, the Carolina Cobras are offering special discounts and, when available, complimentary tickets for all armed forces personnel and their families to any Cobras game for the remainder of the 2003 season.

"This is a challenging time for our country and the world and we are thankful for the men and women of our armed forces," said Arena Football League Commissioner David Baker. "We are pleased to be able to offer this promotion, which in some small way, may provide a measure of support for the families of our service men and women during an otherwise stressful time."

During the team's game against the Dallas Desperados on Friday, March 21, the Cobras will be teaming with the American Red Cross to send phone cards to our military overseas. For a donation to the phone card program, fans will be entered to win an autographed Cobras jersey.

The AFL is proud to have the U.S. Army as one of its principle sponsors, as well as the U.S. Navy, Air Force and Marines as advertisers on its NBC broadcasts every Sunday afternoon.

To take advantage of this offer, armed forces personnel and/or their families will be asked to present a military ID at the Charlotte Coliseum box office to receive the tickets.
