Carolina Cobras News Release
CHARLOTTE -- The Carolina Cobras are turning to the only undefeated team in NFL history as they look to break their season-long losing streak on Friday night against the New York Dragons in the regular season finale. Members of the 1972 undefeated Miami Dolphins team, including Jim Kiick, Earl Morrall and Manny Fernandez, are traveling from South Florida to the Charlotte Coliseum to serve as co-captains for the Cobras as they try to avoid becoming only the sixth winless team in AFL history.
All three Dolphins players and the entire Cobras team will be available for a special autograph session on the field after the game. Plus, any Dolphins fan can buy one ticket and get one free at the Charlotte Coliseum box office.
It's also Fan Appreciation Night on Friday as the Cobras salute the fans for their support during the 2003 season. Hundreds of prizes will be given away in the arena throughout the game and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Cobras rally towel at the door.
Kickoff for the final game of the 2003 season is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tickets can be purchased at the Charlotte Coliseum box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 704-522-6500. Packages for groups of 10 or more are available and can be purchased by contacting the Cobras ticket office at 1-877-4COBRAS or 704-940-2300.
