Coaching Staff Announced for Owlz 2013 Season

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have announced the new coaching staff for the Orem Owlz summer rookie league. Field Manager, Bill Richardson and Pitching Coach, Chris Gissell take over for the Owlz previous dynamic duo, Tom Kotchman and Zeke Zimmerman.
Richardson joined the Texas Rangers chain in 2007 as a hitting coach for the AZL Rangers, then being promoted to manager the next year. He then served three years as the manager for the Hickory Crawdads, an affiliate of the Texas Rangers in the South Atlantic League.
Carson Vitale has been named the team's Hitting Coach and Matt Morrell has been named the Athletic Trainer.
"This year's coaching staff is experienced and, without question, will continue to teach and direct our Owlz to the quality baseball that our fans are used to seeing here in Orem," said Owlz Majority Owner, Jeff Katofsky. "I look forward to continued success under Coach Richardson and his staff and welcome them to our community."
