Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- When the Rockford Lightning take on the Michigan Mayhem on Sunday, February 27, they will be backed by 100 young fans. Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo has made a donation of 100 tickets to Monroe Center School, where his six-year old daughter Maris is a student. A group had originally had the tickets, but they were returned, so Daleo donated the tickets to the school as part of the Rockford Lightning's "Send-A-Kid" program.

"These games are important and we need all the help we can get. I know the students at Monroe Center School are loyal to the Lightning, and I hope that they will be our sixth man," says Daleo. Rockford and Michigan will tip-off the game at 3:05 p.m. on that Sunday afternoon at the Rockford MetroCentre.

Rockford returns to action on Tuesday night, as they host the Western Conference's Idaho Stampede at 7:05 p.m. All kids 12 and under with a paying adult will be half-price tickets, with the lovely and talented Rockford Lightning Girls dance team to perform at halftime.
