
Clippers Fall Late to South Bay in Playoffs

El Segundo, CA - The San Diego Clippers fell to the South Bay Lakers, 122-119, at UCLA Health Training Center on Wednesday night, eliminating them from the 2026 NBA G League Playoffs presented by Google.
Cam Christie, on assignment from the LA Clippers, led all scorers with 33 points and 13 rebounds on 9-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from three. Sean Pedulla added 26 points to cap his rookie season, while TyTy Washington Jr. finished with 26 points and seven assists. Norchad Omier recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The game featured 27 lead changes and 10 ties. The teams traded baskets down the stretch, with San Diego tying the game at 119 with just over a minute remaining. South Bay responded with the go-ahead bucket and with the ball down two, San Diego turned it over, giving the Lakers a three-point lead. The Clippers had one final chance but were unable to convert.
The Clippers outrebounded South Bay 44-38, including 16 offensive boards, and totaled 68 points in the paint. South Bay shot 51.8 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three, while adding 46 points off the bench.
The Lakers had three players score 20 or more points, led by Drew Timme and Malik Williams with 21 apiece. Nick Smith Jr. added 18 points off the bench.
