
Clippers Fall 4-1 to Bats in Cactus League

The Clippers dropped a 4-1 decision to Louisville on Monday in Goodyear. Columbus managed just four hits. Fernando Nieve, Paolo Espino, and Rob Bryson all pitched scoreless outings for the Clippers. Eric Berger allowed three runs in two innings and Bryce Stowell gave up one run in a single frame.
The Cleveland Indians announced that INF Juan Diaz has been optioned to the Clippers roster. Diaz, 24, hit .306 in 19 games with Columbus last season after his promotion from Double-A Akron. He originally joined Columbus during the post-season of the Clippers 2011 championship run.
The Indians big league camp now consists of 44 players.
