The Red Wings and Pawtucket Red Sox played to a 3-3 tie in 10 innings on Tuesday afternoon in Fort Myers, Fla.

Right-hander Virgil Vasquez made the start for Rochester allowing two runs on three hits in 3.1 innings. Vasquez, 30, signed as a minor league free agent in the offseason after playing the last two seasons for Southern Maryland of the independent Atlantic League. An International League veteran, Vasquez has made 83 starts in the IL with Toledo (2007-08), Indianapolis (2009) and Durham (2010).

Southpaw Edgar Ibarra followed allowing a run in 1.2 innings. The combination of Andrew Albers, Mike O'Connor and Bruce Pugh yielded just two base runners in five scoreless innings. The Wings pitching staff struck out 11 Paw Sox while walking just one on the day.

Nate Hanson led the Rochester offense going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. A product of the University of Minnesota, Hanson hit .276 with seven home runs and 50 RBI a season ago with New Britain (AA).

Evan Bigley and Chris Herrmann picked up the other RBI for the Red Wings. Both Bigley and Herrmann spent the majority of 2012 in New Britain reaching double figures in home runs and driving in over 60 runs each.

The Red Wings, who are 3-2-1 in spring training, host the Durham Bulls Wednesday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.
