Columbus Clippers News Release
The Clippers beat Albuquerque8-0 on Monday afternoon in spring training action. Top prospect Trevor Bauer pitched five scoreless innings, allowing four hits while walking two with two strikeouts. Bryan Shaw, Nick Hagadone, Cody Allen, and Preston Guilmet pitched in relief. The Columbus offense was led by Cedric Hunter and Jeremy Hermida, who each had a pair of RBIs.
The Cleveland Indians announced that CA Yan Gomes and INF Cord Phelps were optioned to the Columbus roster.
