Cleveland set for Western Conference clash

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- The Cleveland Force will play host to the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Western Division Dallas Sidekicks on Sunday, February 15 at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game is scheduled to start at 3:05 p.m. and can be heard live on WHK 1220 AM in Cleveland and WHKW 1440 AM in Warren or live on the Internet at www.thesportsking.com.

The Force comes into the match up with a record of 7-16 overall, 4-4 versus Western Division opponents, 1-1 in the season series and 4-8 at the Convo. Cleveland fell to the Philadelphia KiXX by a final score of 5-3 on Wednesday morning at the Wachovia Spectrum. The Force currently is in third place in the Eastern Division 8.5 games behind the Philadelphia KiXX for second and 910 games behind the Baltimore Blast for first.

Dallas will be making its first trip to Cleveland this season and into the weekend with a record of 14-10 overall, 5-4 versus Eastern Division opponents and 3-7 on the road. The Sidekicks will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday night to take on the Milwaukee Wave before heading to Cleveland on Sunday afternoon. Dallas currently is in first place in the Western Division 3.5 games ahead of the San Diego Sockers in second and 7.0 games ahead of the Monterrey Fury in third.

Forwards Lee Edgerton and Adauto Neto lead Cleveland in the season series with three points apiece. Edgerton has tallied three goals while Neto has recorded a goal and added two assists in the two games. Forward Ato Leone and defender John Ball are second on the team with two points on a goal and assist.

Forward David Doyle, who is on the injured list with an ankle injury, leads the Sidekicks in the season series with five points. Cleveland State graduate Nick Stavrou and midfielder Martin Dugas are second on the team with three points in the two games.
