
Clemson Adds to RedWolves Pitching Staff

2 Tiger arms have been signed to round out a tough RedWolves pitching staff for the 2012 season. Patrick Andrews a 6-4, 205lb Fr. RHP and Kyle Bailey a 6-6, 210lb Fr. LHP will head down from the upstate to help the RedWolves go after the CPL Championship. "Clemson is sending us two very big powerful arms to Florence and they should be a big factor in our championship hopes for this season." "This is another case of having former RedWolves in the coaching ranks that want to look out after their former team by sending top level talent." "Two of Clemson's assistant coaches, Bradley Lecroy and Michael Johnson, played for the RedWolves when they were at Clemson and are dedicated in keeping great Tiger representation in Florence for our fans." NFL NIGHT SET FOR 2012
This year's NFL night featuring Wilson High graduate and current Pittsburgh Steeler, Lawrence Timmons, will be held on Saturday July 14th. Timmons will be at the RedWolves game signing autographs and speaking with RedWolves fans. The event is sponsored by Heinz of Florence and fans wearing NFL apparel to the game will receive a discount voucher to a future home game. "We want to thank Lawrence for coming home each season and helping us with this event." "He loves his community and it gives him a chance to visit with people in the community that he grew up in and helps us to support a good cause while he is here." Jamie Young, GM. The Florence RedWolves are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 16th season in 2012, the CPL features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. Furthermore, the CPL has had over 930 alumni drafted and 46 alums make their Major League debut thus far.
