Clark's 39 leads Wilmington over Buffalo

Wilmington, NC- Kris Clark had a game high 39 as Wilmington moves to 12-4 on the season with a 122-97 victory over Buffalo. The loss for the Stampede was their 13th straight.

Buffalo managed to stay in this one early as they were down only four after one, but went down nine at the half. To open the third, the Sea Dawgs went on a 16-4 run and that more or less did it for Buffalo. In the stanza, the Sea Dawgs outscored the Stampede 36-22.

In the fourth, the Stampede tried to keep it close, but Wilmington tightened up on the defensive end and the Sea Dawgs came out on top with a convincing 25 point victory.

For Wilmington, Cedric McGinnis added 21 points with Alex Harper tossing in 13. For the Stampede, Tyrone Rayson had a monster game with 26 points and 19 rebounds. Derick Payne added 20 for Buffalo.

Up next for the Sea Dawgs are the Rochester RazorSharks next Monday in Rochester. Buffalo will be at home to take on Halifax.

Notes: Wilmington shot 57.0 percent from the field and went 10-23 from three point range. Buffalo had trouble holding on to the basketball committing 31 turnovers. The Stampede outrebounded Wilmington 44-31.
