
CJ's Brewery Opens Today at Compuware Arena

PLYMOUTH, MI - As the home of the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers, eight Compuware youth hockey teams, The Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys High School Hockey Finals, Detroit-Novi Catholic Central hockey, Xtreme Soccer Xperience's Detroit Ignition and Compuware Arena Drive-in Theatres, Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township is well-known for affordable family entertainment year-round.
Today, Compuware Arena is bringing family fun to another level with the opening of their all-new restaurant - CJ's Brewing Company. CJ's offers award-winning signature pizza, fourteen large high-definition televisions and much more. CJ's Brewing Company was designed especially for arena visitors as the best place to eat and meet with friends before and after Plymouth Whalers and Detroit Ignition games and most events at Compuware Arena - or at any time.
"We're committed to giving everyone who comes here an affordable, high-quality and fun game-night experience," said Compuware Arena President Mike Vellucci. "CJ's fits right in to that model. It's exactly what our fans were asking for."
CJ's Brewing Company opened in 1997 in Clinton Township and has won various awards, including The Detroit News Michigan's Best Award in 2006 and Best Brew Pub (Reader's Choice Best of the Best Award) by the Oakland Press in 2008. CJ's offers a full range of burgers, pizzas, salads, wraps and sandwiches. Entrées include steaks, ribs, walleye and salmon. Beer drinkers can enjoy a variety of imported, domestic and micro-brewed beers and ales.
Open seven days a week and at 11am for lunch during the week, CJ's Brewing Company offers two private rooms, the Whalers and Hurricanes Rooms, for corporate, chamber, school, sport teams, church or any kind of special group event.
