New York City FC News Release
New York, N.Y. - MLS Champions, New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and CityMD, the leading urgent care provider in the New York metropolitan area, today announced a new partnership, making CityMD the Official Urgent Care Partner of the Club.
The partnership reinforces a commonality - both CityMD and NYCFC were created for and serve the people of New York City. Starting out with one location in Manhattan, CityMD has grown to more than 150 locations to provide convenient, accessible, and compassionate care to all patients.
The new partnership with NYCFC will integrate CityMD into the Club's Youth Program, leveraging the urgent care provider's medical care expertise and strong community engagement with preventative health sessions for the Club's young fans throughout the year. Additionally, CityMD will become the Club's stretcher crew partner.
Patients of all ages visit CityMD for reasons ranging from colds and flu to rashes, and from pink eye to minor injuries. CityMD offers board-certified doctors that provide high-quality urgent care on a walk-in basis and, as part of its connected network with Summit Health, convenient access to primary care providers and specialists.
Andres Gonzalez, NYCFC Vice President of Partnerships, said: "Supporting the City and its people is one of the founding pillars of NYCFC. One of the ways we achieve this is by working with our partners to provide access and education using the power of soccer to improve the lives of New Yorkers. CityMD aligns perfectly with this mission, and we're excited to collaborate with this premier organization with strong New York City roots."
"CityMD is proud to be part of the fabric of New York City and has always been dedicated to fast, high-quality care in neighborhoods across the five boroughs and throughout the New York metropolitan area," said Jeff Alter, CEO, Summit Health. "We're thrilled to partner with NYCFC to promote physical activity and sports participation for the good health of our youth, which is tied to our company's vision of building healthier, kinder communities."
CityMD will also be featured in-stadium during NYCFC home matches, at the Etihad City Football Academy, and across social and digital channels throughout the season.
