March 16, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
OKC Energy FC News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY - The city of Oklahoma City will be green all day long on St. Patrick's Day...Energy FC green that is. The day begins when Energy FC bring the return of the O'City St. Patrick's Day Parade through downtown Oklahoma City and concludes with Energy FC hosting their in-state rival, the Tulsa Roughnecks FC in the season opening match for both clubs.

The O'City St. Patrick's Day Fest and Parade, sponsored by Energy FC, returns to its home in downtown Oklahoma City. The frivolity begins at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Sheridan and Hudson, winds east on Sheridan, through Bricktown and finishes at the intersection of Sheridan and Central.

Following the parade, the participants and attendees can get ready for the opening of the Energy FC regular season at Taft Stadium. The Greens take on their in-state rival, the Tulsa Roughnecks FC.

The teams compete in the Black Gold Derby (pronounced DARBY) where the team that collects the most points in the season series keeps The Wrench. OKC won the right to keep The Wrench in 2016, while Tulsa captured The Wrench in 2017. This is the first of three meetings on the season and the only meeting in Oklahoma City.

Kickoff for the soccer match is 7 p.m. at Taft Stadium. Tickets for the Energy FC home opener are on sale now by calling 235-KICK (5425) or visiting energyfc.com.
