Cirelli, Vande Sompel and Studnicka Invited to Hockey Canada Training Camps

Oshawa, Ontario - Earlier today forward Anthony Cirelli and Defenseman Mitchell Vande Sompel were invited to Team Canada's World Junior Championship Summer Training Camp.

Cirelli is coming off a strong 2015-2016 season which saw him tally a career high in Goals (21), Assists (38) and Points (59). While Vande Sompel led the Oshawa Generals defense core last season with 38 points. These two look to follow in the footsteps of past Generals who have made Team Canada's World Junior Team such as, Eric Lindros, John Tavares, Marc Savard, Boone Jenner and many more.

Jack Studnicka was also invited to Team Canada's Under-18 Training Camp for the Ivan Hlnka Memorial Tournament. Studnicka represented Team Canada Red last fall in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he scored 5 points in 6 games.

The Oshawa Generals are always proud supporters of the Team Canada national program. These players further add to the guys whom have come before them that represent the Oshawa Generals while working towards their goal of wearing the Maple Leaf.
