Cincinnati Cyclones Announce 2010-11 Schedule

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones announced their 2010-11 schedule this afternoon. A total of 72 regular season games including 36 at U.S. Bank Arena highlight the slate. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

The Cyclones will open the 2010-11 season at Elmira on Friday, October 15. The home opener at U.S. Bank Arena will come two weeks later (Saturday, October 30) when the Wheeling Nailers visit. There will be a special Kelly Cup championship pregame ceremony and banner raising for the home opener.

The Cyclones will host twelve games on Friday nights and nine on Saturdays, to highlight a home schedule that will have fifteen weekday games. A total of ten home games will be played in February, while eight tilts at U.S. Bank Arena will occur in December. The squad will make two southern swings, the first will be three contests at Florida on January 5, 7 and 8. The other is a seven game, nine day sojourn in early March.

The squad will play eight ‘three-in-threes' (three games in three days) and the regular season closes with twelve games in the campaign's final 22 days of play.

The Cyclones will play nine of the ten American Conference opponents at U.S. Bank Arena this season. Only the Trenton Devils will miss a trip to Cincinnati from inside the American Conference. For the first time since 2004, a National Conference team will visit Cincinnati when Bakersfield comes to town on December 7. The team will visit all ten of the other cities in the conference during the campaign.

The Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye will each visit U.S. Bank Arena eight times, while the Wheeling Nailers are in six times. The Florida Everblades come to town five times, while the South Carolina Stingrays make the trip to the Queen City for three games. The Cyclones will head out to Kalamazoo and Toledo seven times, visit Wheeling five times and make three visits to Elmira, Florida, Greenville and South Carolina.

Single game tickets will be priced at $13 each, with VIP seating (first row along the glass) priced at $27.50. Season ticket plans are currently on sale and can be purchased by contacting the Cyclones at 513-421-PUCK, x. 3. Discounts of up to 30 percent over single game ticket prices can be obtained when purchasing full 36 game season tickets. A complete promotional schedule will be released in the weeks ahead by the team.

"We are very upbeat about the schedule for the 2010-11 season," U.S. Bank Arena and Cyclones Vice President/General Manager Kristin Ropp said. "We have had solid increases in attendance the past three years and expect it continues into this season."
