Robert Church was Saskatchewan's hero Saturday night.

SaskTel Centre erupted for a 12th time just 2:06 into overtime as the Rush defeated the Vancouver 12-11 for their first win in five weeks.

The Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a pair of goals from Chase Scanlan, but Rhys Duch scored his first in green and Church had his initial of the night to level the score after 15 minutes.

In the second quarter, the Rush went off for five as Church, Dan Lintner, Ryan Keenan and Mark Matthews (x2) found the back of the net to give Saskatchewan a 7-5 lead at the half.

Quarter three went in the home teams favour as well, with Ryan Barnable, Matthews and Church beating Aaron Bold.

Clark Walter buried his 8th of the season in the fourth quarter, but the Warriors wouldn't go down without a fight, scoring five straight to tie the game 11-11 and force overtime.

But in the extra frame, B.C's finest, Robert Church sent Rush nation into a frenzy scoring the OT winner on a feed from Mark Matthews.

Between the pipes, Alex Buque stopped 35 of 46 and Aaron Bold made 39 saves against his former team.

Saskatchewan (6-8) are now one game back of Colorado for the fourth playoff spot in the West Conference.

Next up, a road trip to Georgia to battle the Swarm on April 8th.
