Kyle Isbel's walk-off single with one out in the 12th inning gave the Idaho Falls Chukars a 7-6 win over the Grand Junction Rockies Friday night at Melaleuca Field.

Isbel's game-winner came with Tyler James at third base and it was his third hit of the night in a 3 hour 58 marathon.

Grand Junction led 4-0 when they scored three times in the third, the last two coming home on Grant Lavigne's first professional home run, and in the fourth, Will Golsan doubled home Jake Barnwell. The Chukars scored three runs in fifth, but the Lavinge followed Todd Czinege's seventh inning triple with an RBI single to get the lead back to two, but the Chukars scored a pair in their half of the inning to tie it.

This was the Rockies first game played under Minor League Baseball's new extra innings rules allowing a runner at second to start the inning, and the Rockies scored in the tenth on a wild pitch, but stranded a second run at second, and the Chukars tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a wild pitch sending the game to the 11th where neither team scored.

In the 12th, the Rockies bunted Grant Lavigne to third, but after Reese Berberet was walked intentionally, Zach Hall struck out and Barnwell grounded out to end the inning.

Golsan finished with four hits and a walk, while Coco Montes had a 3-hit game, extending his hit streak to 11 games.

The loss drops the Rockies to 6-9 on the season. They have lost 8-of-10 after matching the best 5-game start in franchise history.
