Idaho Falls Chukars News Release

Idaho Falls - The Idaho Falls Chukars announced today a new member of the Idaho Falls Chukars Broadcast team. John Hadden will take over the duties as Road Radio Broadcaster, and Home Public Address Announcer for the 2008 season. "I knew Idaho Falls was the place I wanted to begin my pro baseball career, and I couldn't be happier with the situation," stated Hadden. "Having spoken to current and former players and front office staff, I'm confident the Chukars are dedicated to championship play and top-notch entertainment, which in my mind go hand in hand." It's something I'm looking forward to being a part of."

John Hadden, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has gained a great amount of play-by-play experience living and working in a state without minor league baseball. The last three summers, John has been working in a college summer league as the play-by-play voice for the Mankato MoonDogs. The MoonDogs play 68 game seasons in the well respected Northwoods League. After the 2007 summer, John became the voice of the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears, a Division II college in St.Paul, Minnesota. At Concordia, John was the number one broadcaster for Golden Bears football and the NCAA National Champion volleyball team. Before coming to Idaho Falls, John will finish his duties as Concordia's play-by-play voice of men's and women's basketball.

John is a 2007 graduate of St. Cloud State University, where he majored in Mass Communications. While at St. Cloud State, John worked as the Sports Director at the campus radio Station, KVSC, from his sophomore year until graduation. John has twice been honored by both the Minnesota Associated Press and Minnesota Broadcasters Association for his work in sports reporting.

The Legendary Voices of summer, Jim Garshow and John Balginy, will once again call all of exciting home action this season. All Chukars games will be broadcasted on 980 AM, as well as the internet on either www.ifchukars.com or MiLB.com.
