Christian Vazquez Returns with Sidekicks for 3rd Season, Re-Signs with Club Until 2026

Allen, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced that defender, Christian Vazquez is re-signing with the club until 2026. This upcoming season will mark Vazquez's third season with the Sidekicks and in the MASL. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Despite only appearing in four games during his first season, Vazquez saw the field a lot more this past season playing in 17 out of the 24 games. On the January 7th game against the San Diego Sockers, Vazquez recorded his first assist as a Sidekick and blocked three Socker shots that night.
On the last game of the season against the Monterrey Flash, Vazquez scored his first professional indoor goal. Throughout his two seasons, Vazquez has scored 1 goal, 3 assists, and blocked 14 opponent shots.
Outside of Sidekicks, Christian Vazquez is the Director of Operations of Villarreal North Texas in Fort Worth and helps run the soccer academy with his two brothers, Gio and Estevan. Estevan is also a goalkeeper for the Dallas Sidekicks.
"Playing for the Sidekicks is important to me because I always want to be a good example for the young athletes around me and I love representing DFW and my family with my brother," said Vazquez.
This season, Vazquez's goal is "to help the Sidekicks in every game and hopefully that translates into making the playoffs again like in the 2021-2022 season."
