CARY, NC - North Carolina FC defender Christian Lue Young has been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 20 of the 2022 regular season, the club announced today.
Lue Young earns Team of the Week accolades for the fourth time this year, following a standout performance in NCFC's 2-1 victory over Forward Madison on Wednesday. The defender recorded his first goal with the club during the match, scoring in the seventh minute of stoppage time in the second half to propel NCFC to three points at the death. Across two matches during Week 20, Lue Young created three chances and registered three clearances and three interceptions.
Up Next: North Carolina FC will travel to face Union Omaha for the second time this season on Saturday, August 20 at Werner Park in Papillon, NE. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET, and the match will stream on ESPN+.
