Chris Williams Named Special Teams Player of the Week

Hamilton, Ontario - Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver/kick returner Chris Williams has been recognized as the Canadian Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week after his incredible performance in last Saturday's victory over the Toronto Argonauts.

Williams' put together one of the finest first-half performances in league history, following up a 34-yard touchdown reception with an 89-yard punt return major and an electrifying 119-yard missed field goal return touchdown with no time remaining in the second quarter.

Last year's Most Outstanding Rookie finished the contest with 113 punt return yards on four returns and 266 all-purpose yards.

Williams has returned three kicks for touchdowns (two punts, one missed field goal) already this season and is averaging 20.6 yards per punt return. His five touchdowns lead the CFL.
