FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, have released a new ticket option for fans interested in enjoying the Choctaw Lazy River at Dr Pepper Ballpark this summer. The special party pass will be available for the first time this Saturday, March 12, at TicketFest from 10:00 a.m.-noon at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

The $225 package includes six tickets with Choctaw Lazy River access, one for each Thursday home game beginning June 16, and a special gift from the RoughRiders.

Every Thursday game at Dr Pepper Ballpark will be a "Thursday Night Pool Party." Lazy River tickets include pregame live music and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, brats, chips, peanuts, and Dr Pepper products for 2 ½ hours. Plus, every Thursday is "Thirsty Thursday" offering $1 select domestic drafts and $2 craft beers from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.

Saturday's first-ever TicketFest is open to the public and free to attend. In addition to the Lazy River party passes, fans will have the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to any of the RoughRiders 70 home games in-person at the event.

At TicketFest, the lazy river will "come to life", moving from a frame to a shape very representative of the final product. Dozens of workers will shoot gunite, a mixture of cement and sand, at extreme velocities into the rebar-reinforced steel frame to create the wet concrete material that will make up the base of the lazy river tube. Fans will be able to see this process happening in real time during TicketFest, weather permitting. The entire Choctaw Lazy River project is set to be completely by early June.

TicketFest will be a fan fest-like event, with music and exclusive RoughRiders multimedia content played throughout. Fans are encouraged to bring a ball and glove to play catch on the field, kids can run the bases, and a concession menu will be available, including $1 offerings of a variety of fan favorites.

Both the Primrose Schools and McAfee playgrounds will be open along with inflatables and more. Of course, the RoughRiders mascots Deuce and Daisy will make an appearance, and Brooks, the Team Dog and Ambassador, will be in attendance.

The Riders Outpost will also be open with select items 25 percent off their regular retail price and dozens of new items available for the upcoming 2016 season, including pre-orders for the team's recently announced Game Boy-inspired "8-Bit and Arcades Night" uniforms.

Fans unable to attend TicketFest can still purchase Lazy River party passes and tickets to any other 2016 RoughRiders home game online at RidersBaseball.com beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. The box office at Dr Pepper will also be open Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
