CHL Announces Rewards Program
August 24, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release
(CHL League Release - Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League introduced today a new program that will give fans something to cheer about with CHL Loyalty Rewards. The CHL has partnered with Robson Technologies Ltd. to create the new program that will give fans and companies the opportunity to earn, redeem and transfer points not only in the CHL's program but within some of their other rewards programs that they are currently members of. The program's online home is located at www.chlpoints.com.
"We feel we are offering an outstanding program to our fans," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "CHL Loyalty Rewards allows all teams to integrate in the everyday lives of people in their communities helping them come together with local businesses. It is a win-win for everyone."
In CHL Loyalty Rewards, fans and businesses can earn points by doing what they typically do to support their favorite CHL team, such as buying tickets and team merchandise and for businesses, investing in the team through sponsorship. Members of the program can transfer points from their CHL Loyalty Rewards membership to other participating points programs (airlines, hotels, etc.) and vice versa.
"The program is truly innovative for a professional sports league," said Kevin V. Huhn, CHL Business Development. "Consumers and companies have felt the crunch of the economic shift over the past little while. Our new program was designed with the intention of helping ease this pain and giving everyone the opportunity to continue experiencing the enjoyment the CHL teams bring them."
Huhn added, "Membership in U.S. loyalty rewards programs ranges in the billions with more than 75% of consumers having at least one loyalty card* and we felt that rewarding our fans and sponsors for their loyalty to the CHL was a logical thing to do."

Besides the online catalog of items available for redemption by consumers, CHL Loyalty Rewards also serves as a full tracking referral program for fans, businesses and CHL teams. Anyone who refers a potential client can follow the process online and then get rewarded for their referral from participating merchants.
"This is a unique partnership between the CHL and Robson Technologies, whereby the CHL will reward their fans and merchants for their ongoing patronage and referrals. In these difficult economic times, people and companies are looking for ways to get more for their buying dollar - that's one of the things that CHL Loyalty Rewards gives them: CHL Points for every qualifying purchase," said David Robson, President of Robson Technologies Ltd. "Furthermore, through our technology, fans and merchants receive meaningful rewards for online referrals - so this means newly referred people and companies will experience benefit from the excellent sports entertainment package that is the CHL."
The program is FREE for people to join. To learn more about CHL Loyalty Rewards and to sign up and become a member, visit www.chlpoints.com and start earning, redeeming and transferring points today.
