Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Toronto, Ontario -- The Canadian Hockey League has announced the second segment winners for the Canada Post Cup three star program.
Each segment winner will receive a $100 donation from Canada Post for their league's education program during a pre-game presentation.
The WHL recipients included former Wheat King netminder Geoff McIntosh, who is now tending goal for the Kamloops Blazers. The 20-year old Saskatoon native won the B.C. division with 42 points, with half of those points coming as a member of the Wheat Kings.
The other league winners were Seth Leonard of Prince Albert (61 points), Tyler Redenbach of the Swift Current Broncos (57 points) and Brandon Dubinsky of the Portland Winter Hawks (54 points).
Current Brandon goaltender Josh Harding won the first segment as a member of the Regina Pats. Harding was obtained from Regina on January 7th in exchange for Dustin Slade, the rights to a 15-year old prospect and a third round draft choice.
