Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release
Carson, Calif., (Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013) - Chivas USA Youth Academy player Hugo Arellano will join the U.S. U-17 Residency Program for three days in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., which will culminate with a pair of international friendlies against Canada on Nov. 16 and 17.
The two friendlies come less than a month before the U.S. U-17 MNT takes part in the Nike International Friendlies and Development Academy Showcase from Dec. 9-15 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., where the U.S. will face Brazil, England and Portugal.
Arellano recently joined the group led by Head Coach Richie Williams for the first time in his young career during a tour in Madrid, Spain that served as a preparation for the squad that will compete in the U-17 2015 CONCACAF Championship. The U.S. U-17 MNT concluded their participation unbeaten at 1-0-2.
Prior to that tournament, the young Goat was an active member of the U.S. U-15 BNT, which the defender helped lead to the Semifinal Round of the Copa Mexico de Naciones this past summer.
