
Chivas USA lose first game of SuperLiga 2009

Chivas USA lost its first game of SuperLiga 2009 to Tigres UANL of the Mexican First Division by a 2-1 score, with Michael Lahoud scoring his first goal as a professional for Chivas USA in the 55th minute.
Goals early and late from Tigres earned the victory for the visitors, with Armando Pulido opening the scoring for Tigres in minute 11, and Jesus Dueñas scoring the winner in minute 82. Tigres' second goal came after Chivas USA forward Eduardo Lillingston received his second yellow card in minute 67, leaving the Red-and-White with 10 men for the final 23 minutes of the match.
The Red-and-White now travel to face the Chicago Fire of MLS on Tuesday, June 23, in the team's second group-stage match, before returning home to face San Luis of the Mexican First Division on Saturday, June 27, at 7:00 p.m. at The Home Depot Center.
