
Chivas USA draws 2-2 with Real Salt Lake

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, March 16, 2005) - Chivas USA drew 2-2 with fellow MLS expansion side Real Salt Lake this morning in a scrimmage played on the University Field of The Home Depot Center. Arturo Torres opened the scoring for the Red-and-White in the first half, while RSL took the lead in the second with a goal by Jamie Watson and a penalty kick tally by Leighton O'Brien. But Héctor Cuadros managed a last-gasp draw for the home side with a 15-yard strike in the 91st minute.
Chivas USA will play its next exhibition game on Wednesday, March 23 against Club América at Ciudad Juárez' Estadio OlÃmpico Benito Juárez. The match kicks off at 8:00 p.m. CT (local time). Tickets start at 250 pesos (25$US) and will be available in the ticket booths of the stadium, which open at 2:00 p.m. the same day.
