Chilliwack Bruins News Release
Join Canadian Tire as they help celebrate Hockey Day In Canada with the Chilliwack Bruins. Bruins players will be on hand to sign autographs at the store located on Vedder Rd. between 1pm and 2pm. There will also be great hockey equipment savings and free skate sharpening all day.
The Chilliwack Bruins are thrilled to announce that their February 22nd game versus the Kelowna Rockets is now set to face off at 4pm instead of the original game time of 5pm. The game time change comes as a result of the game being televised nationally on SportsNet.
Tickets can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location including the Prospera Centre Box Office located on the concourse level of the arena or Soccer Plus located on Luckakuck way.
The Chilliwack Bruins are also pleased to announce that one additional regular season game has been added to their Rain Check Night promotion schedule.
Due to Friday February 13th's home game vs the Prince George Cougars, originally scheduled as the final Rain Check Night being sold out, Bruins Season Ticket Holders will now be able to redeem unused tickets in exchange for tickets for the Sunday February 22nd game vs the Kelowna Rockets.
Tickets can be redeemed at the Prospera Centre Box Office. Each season ticket account is eligible to redeem up to 4 tickets.
The Chilliwack Bruins dropped a 3-1 road decision to the Thunderbirds in Seattle Sunday night, extending their current losing streak to 10 games. Scott McDonald had the Bruins on top by a goal through 40 minutes of play, but the T'Birds got three in the third including an empty netter to earn the victory.
The Vancouver Giants edged the Chilliwack Bruins 3 - 2 Saturday night at the Pacific Coliseum. The Giants withstood a Bruins team that locked down the Giants for the most part and limited Vancouver to just 24 shots on goal, well below their average of 37 per game.
Prince George Cougars rookie Brett Connolly scored three powerplay goals to pace his team to a 5-2 victory over the Chilliwack Bruins in front of a near capacity crowd of 5,063 Friday night in Chilliwack. It was the 8th consecutive loss for the Bruins (14-38-2-4) who now trail the Cougars by 14 points in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
