Chilliwack Bruins Announce Tentative Schedule

The Western Hockey League schedule meetings were held Wednesday in Kelowna and a tentative schedule has been announced. The Bruins will play 26 of the their 36 home games on weekends with nine Friday night games, 13 Saturday nights and four Sunday nights.

"We're extremely excited about our schedule," stated Bruins Director of Marketing Barry Douglas. "We're thrilled to be able to offer our fans 13 Saturday night home games after having just eight last year. We're also excited to host nine Rock The Rink Fridays games that will feature events such as tailgate parties, live bands and beverage specials. Sundays will be our Family Fun nights that will once again feature the Sunday Skate events that give our fans a chance to skate with the team following each Sunday home game as well as kid's games, great prizes and food and beverage specials."

The Bruins kick off the season at home vs the Blazers on Friday September 18th. As part of the home opener festivities, the Bruins in conjunction with 89.5 FM The Hawk will be hosting a live band as well as several other yet to be announced promotions.
