Spokane Chiefs News Release
After winning twice on their home ice this week to even their best-of-seven series with the Everett Silvertips at two, the Chiefs will travel for game five on Friday night. Mike Boyle will go on the air at 7:00 with Comcast Hockey Tonight on KJRB 790 the Fan.
The Chiefs will welcome the return of 16-year-old Mitch Wahl who has served both games of a two game suspension. Wahl, who scored 16 goals and 48 points (including 16 on the power play) in 69 games this year, was named the Chiefs Rookie of the Year. Judd Blackwater will return for game six on Sunday night after his three game suspension.
Dustin Tokarski's 29 save performance and a three goal effort in the third period in Wednesday night's 3-1 guaranteed Spokane will return to the Spokane Arena on Sunday for game six. Gamtime on Sunday is 6:00. Ticket Package holders should use ticket number three for Sunday night.
To this point, home-ice has been a distinct advantage as all four games have been won by the team in white.
The Chiefs will return to Everett where they dropped games one and two, 4-2 and 3-2 in overtime, respectively. The Chiefs had a five-on-three power play and hit the crossbar early in the overtime period of game two, but Everett won it to push their series lead to 2-0.
The Chiefs ticket office will be open Friday (till 5:00), Saturday (9:00-4:00) and Sunday (9:00-gamtime). For tickets, call (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
