Chicago Steel Statement on USHL Season Cancellation
March 18, 2020 - United States Hockey League (USHL) - Chicago Steel News Release
Today, the USHL Board of Directors voted unanimously to cancel the remainder of the 2019-2020 USHL regular season and playoffs.
We would have loved the opportunity to finish what we started, but we're collectively faced with something that is far bigger than sports.
There will be time to reflect on this remarkable season which included a franchise record 41 victories, a pair of 13-game winning streaks and too many incredible moments to count.
Thank you to a special group of players who represented our organization with passion and purpose.
Thank you to our full and part-time staff who match the enthusiasm and professionalism of our players on a daily basis.
Thank you to our billet families for their generosity that never ceases to amaze.
Thank you to our fans. Don't tell anyone, but we'll miss you most.
