CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky announced today the team has signed guard Courtney Williams. Per team policy, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"We are thrilled to add a player like Courtney Williams," Chicago Sky General Manager and Head Coach James Wade said. "She's a player with extreme talent who has proven to be the ultimate competitor and a proven winner. We are excited to have a player who will fiercely compete alongside her teammates to lead us into a new era."

She enters her seventh year in the WNBA after being drafted eighth in the 2016 WNBA Draft by Phoenix and traded to Connecticut that same year. She holds career averages of 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 27.2 minutes per game over two seasons with Atlanta and four full seasons with Connecticut over her career.

Williams appeared and started in 34 of Connecticut's regular season games last season. She finished the 2022 campaign with a total of 379 points, 156 rebounds, 111 assists, 33 steals and 14 blocks. Williams also reached over 2,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 600 career assists in 2022. She now sits at No. 9 in scoring (303), No. 9 in rebounding (107), No. 6 in assists (68) in Connecticut Sun postseason history.

Williams, who grew up in Folkston, Georgia, has also tallied four 30-point games, 25 20-point games, 16 double-doubles, has played in 209 games with 171 starts over her seven seasons. She currently sits at No. 12 all-time in scoring (1,779), No. 9 all-time in rebounding (735) and No. 10 all-time in assists (429) in Connecticut history.

With Atlanta, she led the team with a career-high in points (16.5), rebounds (6.8), assists (4.0), made field goals (7.1), and minutes (34.4) per game. In 2021, she was named a 2021 WNBA All-Star and AP Player of the Week.

She played four years at the University of South Florida from 2012-16, where she capped her career ranked second among all-time leading Bulls scorers with 2,304 points. For the Bulls, Williams was named 2016 WBCA First Team All-American, three-time First Team All-Region, three-time First Team All-Conference and three-time AAC All-Tournament Team. She is the only player in program history to record over 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 300 assists and sits at No. 2 on program's all-time scoring chart (2,304).

She will wear jersey number 10 for the Sky.
