
Chicago Sky Goes Down to Washington 66-55

Epiphanny Prince had 12 points with 5 steals and Sylvia Fowles scored 10 with 6 rebounds but the Sky lost the team's final preseason game to the Mystics 66-55 at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.
Rookies Courtney Vandersloot, Angie Bjorklund and Carolyn Swords each played significant minutes as they continued to battle for roster spots. Vandersloot scored 7 points in 23 minutes. Bjorklund, in 15 minutes on the floor, showed her range shooting 2-3 from the arc. Swords recorded 2 points and 1 block in 13 minutes.
The Sky kept the game close through the half, but following a 9 point Mystics run to close the third quarter, the Sky were never able to climb back into the game.
Washington forward Crystal Langhorne scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Mystics. Veteran point guard Kelly Miller added 12 points.
The Sky finished their preseason at 1-1 and will open their regular season June 4 at Indiana.
