Looking for a place to relax, watch sports and play video games during the busy holiday shopping season? The Chicago Rush Sports Lounge at Vernon Hills' Westfield Hawthorn Shopping Center is your place.
"The holiday season is among the most stressful times of the year for many people," said Rush president/general manager Mike Polisky. "We wanted to create an oasis at Westfield Hawthorn to help people escape from the craziness of holiday shopping, and the Chicago Rush Sports Lounge is the perfect destination."
Located at the southeast entrance near Sears of Westfield Hawthorn, the free sports lounge will be the place for shoppers to take a break from their busy day. The lounge, which will be open during the center's holiday hours, will feature four big screen televisions constantly playing the top sporting events courtesy of DIRECTV, the nation's leading digital satellite TV service, comfortable lounge chairs and two video game stations where fans can sample the best sports video games.
In addition, Rush players, SoBe Adrenaline Rush Dancers and the team's mascot, Grabowski, will be making appearances at the Sports Lounge to interact with fans, pose for pictures and sign autographs.
The Chicago Rush Sports Lounge officially will open Friday, November 24, at 7 a.m., the day after Thanksgiving, and remain open until Westfield Hawthorn closes at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 24. On opening day, members of the SoBe Adrenaline Rush Dancers will be signing autographs at the Sports Lounge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Grabowski will be greeting fans from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
